LGM Production – Who Are We? Why We Exist ?

THE COMMITMENT OF LGM PRODUCTION

We are a non-profit association under French law (1901), a collective of jazz musicians.
And at the very beginning, there was a dream. A real one.
To play and learn alongside the greatest figures in jazz.
A dream many would consider naïve, unrealistic, unreachable.

A dream we nevertheless chose to take seriously.

AN ASSOCIATION, NOT A BUSINESS

It is important to state this clearly.
LGM Production is a non-profit association (French law 1901) that receives no public funding whatsoever, neither from the State nor from any public institution.
No safety net. No subsidies. No guarantees

We organize the Grande Masterclass™ like a company, yes. But without shareholders. Without dividends. Without profits to distribute. We must balance our accounts. And when we don’t — which does happen — we personally cover the losses with our own funds. This is a reality. It is a choice.
And we fully assume it.

SO… HOW DO WE DO IT?

Because organizing such an event comes at a cost. A huge cost.... A very real cost.
One that only those who organize can truly understand.

There was only one possible solution: to pool the event.
To share it. To share it with other passionate, demanding and curious musicians, eager to learn, to grow, and to challenge themselves.
To turn this Masterclass into a collective adventure, where everyone contributes to making the impossible possible.

This is a dream that became reality through hard work, risk-taking,
sleepless nights, doubts…
and above all, total commitment !

A COMMITMENT SHARED BY THE MASTERS...

This dream did not remain ours for long.
It was immediately understood, supported and carried forward by extraordinary musicians, who agreed to commit humanly — not only artistically.

Artists such as Richard Bona and André Ceccarelli supported us from the very beginning, sometimes even helping us directly.

It is thanks to this shared commitment that the price of the Masterclass is deliberately kept as low as possible

Our goal is not to generate profit, but to create an unforgettable experience with these true jazz icons:
Mike STERN, Kurt ROSENWINKEL,  Richard BONA, André CECCARELLI, Sylvain LUC, Enrico PIERANUNZI, Chris POTTER...
and many more to come !

A COLLECTIVE WORK, ABOVE ALL...

The Grande Masterclass would not exist without the daily commitment of the entire LGM Production team.

Women and men who give their time, their energy and their skills — often behind the scenes, always with passion.

We also warmly thank our partners, the City of Nice, for providing the concert venue, and DUSHOW, who has stood by our side since 2012 and without whom this event would never have existed.
Take a moment to look at the staff photos.
They are the ones. The faces behind this commitment.

A SCHOOL OF VOLUNTEERING

Ultimately, the Grande Masterclass is far more than a musical event.
It is a lesson in transmission.
A lesson in humility. And above all, a remarkable school of volunteering.
A place where one understands that some things exist only because, one day, women and men decide to commit themselves — expecting nothing in return but the beauty of the gesture...

Thank you to the students who, since 2012, have placed their complete trust in us and have supported the Grande Masterclass™ unwaveringly.
Thank you to the entire team, always on deck,
never giving up, and driven by an incredible enthusiasm.
